We can only hope that the National League is kinder on the A's than the American League so far this season. After an absolutely heartbreaking loss yesterday; that would have seen the A's win three in a row and take 3 out of 4 from the Rays, the A's limp back into the Coliseum, trying to recover from yesterday's disastrous ninth inning.
Trevor Cahill is on the mound for the A's, coming off a train wreck of his own; an outing where he could not hold an early 6-0 lead. He will be facing Billy Buckner, a recent AZ call-up.
The A's will see an old friend in Eric Byrnes this series, and they will see Dan Haren in action tomorrow night.
