The A's close this short series against Kansas City tonight, as Josh Outman takes the mound, trying to go at least five innings. The A's bullpen, which has received praise from Baseball Prospectus as well as MLB.com today, should be fully rested. My favorite quote:
The A's bullpen has been the biggest bright spot in what's been a mostly dim season so far...
I think someone needs to be told that we won big yesterday! Unfortunately, the A's aren't facing just any pitcher tonight; Brian Bannister has put together a great start to his season, and he has pitched the A's tough in five career games. At least he's right-handed. Silver lining!
Hopefully, the Wednesday game will bring out a bigger crowd to the Coliseum than we saw last night, so if you're there, have fun!
The A's need to get some offense going early against KC, and they need to start stringing together some wins.
They are putting out the following lineup:
Yesterday's hero is in the #1 spot again, and Crosby replaces Hannahan.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
