Happy Home Opener! I imagine there will be a lack of Oakland residents in the game thread tonight because they are all at the game, watching the debut of Brett Anderson.
Anderson will be facing off against the Ichiro-less Seattle, and will be opposed by LHP Ryan Rowland-Smith (6-3, 3.55 ERA in 2008). I think it would help him out immensely (as with any young pitcher) if the A's could put some runs on the board early.
The A's look for their third win tonight against Rowland-Smith. Matt Holliday is back in the lineup, so we hope he's feeling better, and look out right field; Cust is in the outfield.
