After a great win for Joe Blanton last night, the A's take the field again tonight, trying to win the series against the Phillies and continue to compete with the Angels.
On the mound for the A's will be Greg Smith, who will be facing the great Phillies lineup for the first time. He will be opposed by RHP Kyle Kendrick (6-3, 5.06 ERA).
Smith needs to keep Rollins of the bases tonight; despite his great pickoff move, Rollins will run wild against him given the chance.
Ellis and Chavez are back in the lineup, which will not only help the A's on offense, but on defense, as well.
