Well, if nothing else, you have to like tonight's pitching matchup on paper. The A's Rich Harden (3-0, 2.93 ERA) takes on the Jays' Roy Halladay (5-5, 3.11 ERA), in what should be an awesomely pitched game. (That's not a jinx; I said SHOULD!) And if the A's can continue to do the little things right; fielding the ball, running the bases, and even hitting a little bit, we might be able to add to our winning streak.
Sadly, Frank Thomas is not back in the lineup yet (I hope they're just resting him), but it's nice to have another DH in Mike Sweeney. He'll do just fine tonight, although any homeruns hit by him would not have quite the same impact on Toronto. For the record, Frank is batting .315 with four HRs since joining the A's. I'm just saying.
The A's go for six in a row as the much-anticipated Harden/Halladay matchup kicks off. Settle in. You don't want to miss this one.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!
