Direct TV is having a meltdown on ESPN 2, which is just about the worst thing that could happen to some of us who left our cable houses in favor of dish homes. I have radio feed, but no TV, and will be re-locating back home after the first.

There isn't much else we can say about today's match-up that hasn't already been said; the 2008 Oakland Athletics, fresh off major personnel changes, with a team full of rookies and zero expectations face off in Japan against last year's MLB champions, in a ballpark and a country that is comprised of probably 99.99% Boston fans, obviously largely due to Dice-K mania.
The A's send out the following lineup:

They will be backed on the mound by our new ace, who went 14-10 last year with a 3.95 ERA.
