Open Thread: Game 134 - A's vs. Blue Jays

Let’s hope Chad Gaudin is up for being his former team again. Having bested the Devil Rays last Thursday, The Dangling One goes to battle tonight against his other former team, the Toronto Blue Jays. Gaudin is in search of his 11th win of the season, opposed by right-hander Jesse Litsch. Sorry, sorry, I know, this is a family site—I mean Jesse L****.

The A’s are trying to avoid following a 5-game winning streak with a 5-game losing streak, after yesterday’s 12 inning LOBathon produced a fourth consecutive defeat. Of course a main culprit was the vertigo-impaired Marco Scutaro, who went 0 for 6 and stranded 53 runners. How did Scutaro’s MRI go before the game yesterday? He couldn’t go through with it “because he got too claustrophobic”. Great, our backup backup shortstop is battling vertigo, we desperately need his clutch hitting, and the guy decides he’s afraid of Santa Claus?

Cindi made me say it.
