Quite frankly, I wouldn't at all mind seeing another slugfest today.
Sure, it's nice to see Haren up there on the pitching leaderboard (albeit a little glum to watch his ERA making a steady creep upward).
And, yes, yes, there is the classic beauty of a pitchers' duel with outstanding defense and tension in every inning, blah blah blah.
But we're in garbage time so far as the A's season goes, and I want to see me some runs!
Plus, I want to keep Haren from winning the Cy to keep him affordable.
Who am I kidding? Haren vs Verlander? Should be a nailbiter.
