Open Game Thread: Game 77 - A's at Cleveland

The A's and Lenny DiNardo with a 2-4 record and a 2.35 ERA look to end the A's five-game skid. It won't be easy as they take on Fausto Carmona with his 8-3 record and 3.21 ERA.

The A's also have a chance, despite the last five games, to actually gain a game on the Angels today as they've already been swept by Kansas City. This road trip is reminding me of a few seasons ago when the A's went into Boston and Cleveland on a road trip and got hammered.

And DiNardo has given up 11 runs in his last nine innings pitched. Granted, only seven of them were earned, but still the shine has worn off a bit from Lenny as our fifth starter.

Here is the A's lineup:

Buck (is back!)
Stewart
Swisher
Cust
Chavez
Ellis
Johnson
Scutaro
Suzuki

Now this is a lineup I can live with. Although I would like Ellis and Chavez to be flip-flopped. Still, it's good to see Suzuki in there and Buck back in. I feel like Paris was finally released from jail to see Zuki back.

The Indians lineup looks like this:

Sizemore
Blake
Martinez
Hafner
Peralta
Garko
Michaels
Gutierrez
Barfield

The Indians lineup is a frightening one which is why they've scored the second-most number of runs in baseball and they have the fifth best OPS as a team in baseball. So the A's now turn to DiNardo to try and shut down this lineup. Brace yourselves.

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
