Anyone else still mad about last night’s game? Just me? Okay then. I’d feel better with a win today.
Taking the mound tonight for the A’s after a simply phenomenal start in his last appearance will be (Icin’, Kentucky, Cupcakes) Joe Blanton, who is pitching as well as anyone in June.
He will be opposed by rookie RHP Chris Sampson, who will try to keep the A’s from scoring. Meanwhile, the A’s will try to keep enough position players on the field through at least nine innings, as they try to counteract the dreaded double-switch with their current ‘injured-players-taking-up-roster-spots’ dilemma.
