Two pleasant surprises greet our game tonight: Nick Swisher has been signed to a 5-year extension (reportedly worth something between a jar of pickles and China) and Milton Bradley is actually playing a baseball game.
Now that he can afford a new hamstring if necessary, Swisher is back in RF. Bradley is batting cleanup and while he can found in the middle of the field, the A's are no longer going with a CFer, having determined that it is simply not safe. Jason Kendall is batting 9th--hey, why didn't we think of that?
