Consecutive A's pitches in this series will be thrown by Huston and Dallas--this is so confusing to Corey Patterson that he's already freezing between second and third. Dallas Braden made just one AAA start before getting the call to slot in for Rich Harden for at least the next 10 days. Braden is a lefty who features a screwball, so perhaps the A's hope he can have a Fernando Valenzuela start to his major league career.
