Open Thread: Game 138 - A's vs. Rangers

The A's and Los Kirk with a 7-6 record and a 4.47 ERA take on the Rangers and Adam Eaton with a 4-4 record and a 4.71 ERA.

Saarloos was kind of the lost member of the August resurgence. He was spectacular with a 4-0 record and a 2.01 ERA. He and Loaiza were the backbone of the pitching staff in August. Who would've thought that in April? <waits for Bueller>

Any way, the A's lineup looks like this:

Kendall
Ellis
Bradley
Thomas
Chavez
Payton
Swisher
Johnson
Scutaro

I hope Ellis can continue his hot hitting getting moved up in the lineup. Let's hope so because that's a really nice grouping near the top considering their second-half numbers.

The Rangers counter with this group:

Matthews
Young
Teixeira
Lee
Blalock
DeRosa
Kinsler
Laird
Cruz

I wouldn't call this game crucial at this point, but with A's killer Padilla on the slab tomorrow, the A's could be looking at a broom very easily if they don't take it. And you just KNOW the Angels will sweep Baltimore because there is no way this is going to be easy.

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
