The Saucy Little Minxes Teasing Fans...

Well, what can we say?

It wouldn't have mattered if Danny Haren had thrown a nine-inning, three-hit, two-run game this afternoon, the A's would still have lost. You don't win a lot of games getting 2 hits, or for that matter, getting 4 (see: yesterday's loss).

Even watching the game today, I couldn't tell if Ervin Santana was pitching really, really well, or if the A's offense was just really that bad. You decide.

Silver linings:

We don't face the Angels in the playoffs.

It's a darn good thing we won Friday night's game. Our magic number looks better at two.

On a shallow personal note: The A's seem to hate me. I'm attending in person 9 of the last 10 games; the only exception tomorrow's, and with an Angels' loss and an A's win, that would be the day. Of course, I'm willing to take one for the team, if necessary. Let's end this!
