Open Thread: Game 153 - A's vs. Angels

First of all, where did the time go? Just last week, A-Rod hit the grand slam off of Zito. Only yesterday, the A's muddled through another May-swoon. It was only this morning that a 10-game winning streak got the A's off and running...

...How is it possible that are there only 10 games left in the regular season?

In what many are predicting to be his last regular-season start at home with the A's, Barry Zito begins the first of seven head-to-head matchups between the A's and the team whose hopes of catching Oakland are about as good as...well, their hopes of catching anything, really. Zito is opposed by rookie phenom Jared, sorry Jarrod, sorry Jarid, sorry, look it starts with a "J" and he's the good one, Weaver.

Eric Chavez, who has the same number of working limbs (but one fewer parrot) than your average pirate, is back in the lineup. Speaking of the lineups:

Izturis
Cabrera
Guerrero
Rivera
Quinlan
Anderson
Kendrick
Napoli
Figgins

Kendall
Kotsay
Bradley
Thomas
Chavez
Payton
Swisher
Scutaro
Ellis
