The A's and Los Kirk with a 7-7 record and a 4.70 ERA take on the Indians and Cliff Lee with a 12-10 record and a 4.47 ERA.
The A's look to rebound after a dismal night in which everything seemed to go awry. Pitching and hitting just weren't there after a four-game hitting streak. Course much of that had to do with nemesis Jake Westbrook.
The A's send out this lineup against Cliff Lee:
It's kind of unfortunate that the A's have to give Mark Kotsay a night off since he has a .971 OPS against Lee. The rest of the A's lineup? Not so good.
The Indians send out this group:
This could be Saarloos last turn in the rotation. Maybe ever, if Harden comes back healthy and the A's don't bring Saarloos back next year. He deserves a lot of credit for performing above his head in many ways and it'd be nice for him to walk off the mound a winner. Just pull a Westbrook, Kirk.
The Angels have been outhit in Kansas City 7-2, yet they are winning the game against the Royals 2-1.
LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
