Open Thread: Game 127 - A's at Toronto

The A's send Esteban Loaiza with a 6-7 record and a 5.58 ERA to the hill against the Blue Jays and Gustavo "The Fly" Chacin with a 6-2 record and a 5.61 ERA.

Here's a fact...Esteban Loaiza now has the second best ERA in the A's starting rotation in August. He's 2-0 with a 2.36 ERA (Zito - 4.68, Haren - 4.21, Blanton - 2.88 and the winner is Saarloos at 2.25).

The A's look to rebound from their close lose last night with this lineup against the left-handed Chacin:

Kendall
Ellis
Bradley
Thomas
Payton
Chavez
Kielty
Swisher
Scutaro

Macha seems to be paying attention to lineups finally and moving Chavez around accordingly. I really like Bradley, Thomas and Payton all together against a left-handed starter. Actually, Kendall, Ellis and Thomas all have averages of .500 or above against The Fly.

Chacin will seek the support of this lineup:

Johnson (ugh)
Catalanotto
Wells
Glaus
Overbay
Rios
Molina
Hill
McDonald

Watch out for Catalanotto, Rios and Glaus. Interesting that they sat out Zaun because he has had a significant amount of success against Loaiza.

Let's get this going back in the right direction.

LET'S GO OAK-LAND!!!!!!!
