This upcoming Sunday is the Third Annual AN Day at the Coliseum. We'll be in the right field BBQ area this year (as opposed to last year when we were in left field).
I just wanted to advise everyone to arrive early this year as we do have a few special guests who will start talking to us as early as 11:45 a.m. I know it's a bobblehead day, so try and get to the park as early as possible so you can get your bobblehead and be settled in with food when our guest speakers arrive (there's one last thing that I'm working on, but if it comes through you will NOT want to miss it).
AN will be there for the debut of 25-year-old Shane Komine. No offense to Los Kirk, but I was a little tired of seeing him pitch live (he's pitched 5 out of the last six times I've been to the Coliseum). Of course if Komine struggles, we could wind up seeing Saarloos in a mop up role any way.
Regardless, AN is 1-1 so far, losing the first year and then winning an exciting game last season. Let's get over that .500 mark.
I'm looking forward to seeing you and meeting some new people as well. And a HUGE kudos to baseballgirl whose help in organizing the event this year was invaluable. I can NOT thank her enough for all that she has done. Please join me in thanking her for everything.
Can't wait to see you all on Sunday!
