The A's and Danny Haren with a 4-3 record and a 3.86 ERA take on the White Sox and Mark Buehrle with a 5-2 record and a 2.92 ERA.
Haren has been just awesome his last two starts. He and Zito have been the anchors of the staff. Haren has given up one earned run over his last 17 innings. He's also only given up eight hits and two walks over those 17 innings. That's an insane 0.59 WHIP.
The A's need him to be dominant now more than ever as Buehrle is pitching extremely well with an ERA under 3.
The A's lineup looks like this:
The A's have actually hit Buehrle pretty well over the years. The current group has a .324 batting average against him with a .373 OBP.
The White Sox lineup looks like this:
Interestingly, the White Sox also have a .324 batting average against Haren. The difference is that many of the batters haven't faced Haren as much as the A's have faced Buehrle with a collective 34 ABs against Haren. The A's, on the other hand, have faced Buehrle for 185 ABs.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!!!!!!!
