The A's and Brad Halsey with a 0-0 record and a 1.42 ERA take on the Angels and Slingblade with a 3-1 record and a 3.09 ERA.
Here we go with Harden's fill-in. Halsey has been great coming out of the pen, let's just hope it continues with him in the rotation. The A's have won a season-high four straight thanks to Zito, Payton, Crosby and Kotsay last night.
Here's something interesting to note about the A's bullpen since Huston Street went down ten games ago...the pen has a 2.16 ERA since Street went down. Obviously losing Halsey hurts the pen's depth and here is hoping Flores can chip in.
Kotsay gets a much needed day off with his ailments as here is the lineup the A's send out against Slingblade:
Ellis
Swisher
Chavez
Thomas
Crosby
Payton
Johnson
Kendall
Kielty
Ronnie Mac returns to the lineup, Payton takes over in center field and Ellis gets back in there at second base.
The Angels, whose offense has been about as bad as the A's, send out this group to attack Halsey:
Figgins
Cabrera
Anderson
Guerrero
Salmon
Alfonso
Quinlan
Mathis
Kennedy
The only difference in the lineup is Kendrick sits in favor of Kennedy and Mathis catches instead of Molina.
LET'S GO OAK-LAND!!!!!!!
