Open Thread: Game 5 - A's at Seattle

Remember that Monty Python sketch with Eric Idle introducing "a man so wonderful, so incredibly, incredibly perfect...a man whose boots I am not worthy to lick..."? No? Oh, then never mind. Anyway, I feel I should introduce Felix Hernandez this way, but instead I will leave it at "Joe Blanton against Felix Hernandez," in the first start of the season for each pitcher.

Notable about the A's lineup (besides the fact that it seems to make a modicum of sense today) is the presence of Antonio Perez, who will make his A's starting debut tonight. Perez is starting at shortstop, which may put to the test Ron Washington's level of magiacianship. (Magicianitude? Magiciosity? How about just: Wizardry.)

The lineups, brought to you by Archer Norris, and by my computer:

Kotsay
Ellis
Chavez
Thomas
Bradley
Johnson
Perez
Kendall

Ichiro
