Open Thread: Game 8 - A's at Minnesota

Welcome to Terrordome. The A's go indoors for the first time today with Danny Haren and his 0-0 record and 6.00 ERA. He'll take on Brad Radke with his 1-0 record and 6.00 ERA.

The A's pitching staff has allowed eight hits over their last three games. That's the second lowest total in Oakland history. The A's allowed three consecutive two hitters back in 1992.

It'll be interesting to see if it continues against the Twinkies as Minnesota has the worst batting average in the AL right now and is tied for the lowest amount of runs scored in the early year. Of course, the A's offense has the second worst batting average in the AL.

Not to pick on Dan Johnson, but he's going home tonight to his native Minnesota and will be in front of friends and family and he's yet to record his first hit of the season. It's a situation where someone could naturally press a little harder. With that in mind, Ken Macha has decided to sit DJ.

Here is the A's lineup:

Ellis
Kotsay
Crosby
Chavez
Thomas
Bradley
Payton
Kendall
Swisher

The Twinkies go with this lineup:

Stewart
Castillo
Mauer
White
Hunter
Morneau
Batista
Cuddyer
Castro

The A's are 113-143 in the Dome since moving to Oakland, but have done well recently, including going 3-1 against the Twins in the Dome last year. Is it wrong that I don't hate the Twins since AssJack left?

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
