I just came across this while looking through the Contra Costa Times' website. It's an article about the new radio coverage and how it won't be able to reach some listeners in some areas. But, it shed light on a pretty exciting development. Here's a little tidbit from the article:
"There is one wild card that could dramatically improve the A's radio coverage. KNTS has been granted a permit to build a 50,000-watt transmitter just north of the San Mateo bridge, which would immediately give the A's full coverage across the Bay Area. But receiving a permit and actually getting the job done are two different things."

I hope this gives some hope to some A's fans.
