Ok, so heres my "first and ten" (wow is the evil empire getting desperate). I just watched the opening part of around the horn, and i have to say that i was shocked no one mentioned the a's as even once in the little baseball brief they had. Despite the fact that i was overjoyed not to have to listen to Mariotti, all of the other guys were wetting themselves over the White Sox. How do people overlook the lack of an experienced center fielder in Chitown? or the fact that they took on Thome for 3 more years (albeit at a "reduced" price). how bout the vasquez trade that everyone loves, hes overpaid at ten mill for one, and two he was bad in the AL with the Yankees, he'll be bad again even IF he is durable adn throws 230 innings. The D-backs get a prized centerfield prospect (that would have played this year in the bigs) plus a reliable reliever and whatever the D-backs get from el duque. i'm sorry, but I can't see the white sox repeating even a divisional championship. Their pen is weakened (although still good), their lineup was never that good to begin with, and then they lost rowand for thome. the only player in the lineup i would take is konerko (ignoring contracts). I apologize for the apparent lack of caring about grammer and punctuality, i'm just venting a little.
