Respect for the A's???

ESPN has posted their first copy of their MLB Power rankings... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/powerranking?season=2006&week=1. I expected our A's to be somewhere in the top ten, and it was no surprise to see Chicago as the top dog, but low and behold, Oakland is number 2!! They mention both the Thomas and Bradley signing and the deep rotation, so maybe the cat is out of the bag?? I still think that the national sports media is going to focus on Anahiem, LA, whatever, just out of inertia, but it was nice to see our busy and productive offseason actually was noticed.

Wow, the other big surprise: Texas over the Angels?? (at 10 and 11 each). Everyone is picking on LA's slow offseason.
