Open Thread: Game 160 - A's at Seattle

You know how sometimes in the morning, you look down the list of games and when you see a Reds-Pirates matchup you give it the old "that's a meaningless game" chuckle? Eeww--we're that game. As the Indians, Red Sox, and Yankees battle it out for two remaining playoff spots, the A's are playing for pride. And not Curtis, either.

Kirk Saarloos makes his final start of the season, gunning for his 11th win, opposed by Jamie Moyer. Moyer, unless he hits 84 on the radar gun tonight, will be the rare starter who fails to throw twice his age.

Tonight's starting lineups include Dan Wilson, who reportedly will catch Moyer for one inning and then officially retire to a well-deserved ovation:
