The A's and Los Kirk with a 9-7 record and a 3.87 ERA take on the Red Sox and Matt Clement with a 13-5 record and a 4.33 ERA.
If the A's can somehow squeeze a win out today facing the sometimes erratic Clement, then they'd get exactly what they were looking for heading into Boston.
And the offense could get Crosby back very soon. Perhaps as early as Tuesday. I don't have to tell you they desperately need something. This team has looked abysmal offensively against a struggling starting pitching staff.
