The A's and Danny Haren with a 12-10 record and a 4.04 ERA take on the Wild Card-leading Indians and C.C. Sabathia with a 13-9 record and a 4.35 ERA.
The last time the A's faced Sabathia, he only lasted 2 1/3 innings and allowed eight earned runs. But Sabathia has been absolutely unhittable in his past two games.
Haren, on the other hand, possibly had his worst outing of the season his last time out, lasting only 2 2/3 innings and allowing five earned runs. Cleveland has also been pounding the ball and Coco Crisp is hitting over .500 over his last eight games.
The A's have also lost 8 out of their last nine in Cleveland, so the odds seem stacked heavily against them. But the game is played on the field.
The A's lineup looks like this:
Hiram Bocachica gets the call-up and he immediately goes into the lineup to face the flamethrowing lefty in Sabathia. This is one situation where the A's will desperately miss Kielty and his prowess against lefties.
The Indians lineup looks like this:
The A's destiny is in their hands. Tonight begins three of their most important games of the year. Is our young team up for it? We shall see.
LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
