The A's and Danny Haren with a 10-8 record and a 3.90 ERA take on the Orioles and Daniel Cabrera with an 8-11 record and a 5.00 ERA.
This should be the A's good opportunity to avoid a sweep. Cabrera is 0-3 in August and has a 7.71 ERA. He's also walking people regularly, which plays right into the A's game plan. Something for Macha to note...start as many lefties as you can. Cabrera has allowed 77 hits and 52 walks to left-handed bats, compared to only 39 hits and 22 walks to righties.
I'm heading out to the game, so I have to put this thread up early. I'm hoping for an offensive renaissance today.
We shall see. I'll open a couple more threads for your use once this one gets to 200 comments.
LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
