Yeah, well sometimes you lose.....

So we lost last night.  I had the feeling our  pitcher was a little too pumped up---trying to do too much, like catch a ball headed up the middle with his BARE HAND!  Not a smart move, but one that comes with youth and enthusiasm.

We were out of the game early on, but it was good to see over 40,000 in the old (and I do mean old) ballyard, and it was also good to see chavez go deep.

What was not good to see (or hear) was to hear the Angel color man (Ye Olde Dope Smoker) refer to the A's as "on the top of the mountain with no place to go but ----down!"  This kind of homie bs drives me up a wall! Yes, I was cursed to see the Angels tv feed, given that I live in the boonies of LA.

The thing of it is that the Los Angeles Angels of South Passaic are a team without an identity.  I know----I teach in Orange County, and my students don't know whether to root for the team or not, because they know, somehow, that they don't live in LA.  Imagine that!

All of this is in preparation for saying we have come a long way and we have a long way to go.  I think we have a strong shot at reaching the post season and, once that occurs, well, our youthful zip may lead us to untold destinations.

Zito=zeroes today!
