Open Thread: Game 83 - A's at Toronto

The A's and Smokin' Joe Blanton with a 5-6 record and a 4.48 ERA take on the Blue Jays and Ted "I Don't Listen to Pitching Coaches" Lilly with a 6-8 record and a 5.89 ERA.

The A's look to build on the magic .500 plateau they finally reached last night. The offense has produced against lefties this year consistently and this is the lineup tonight:

Kendall
Kotsay
Crosby
Chavez
Kielty
Byrnes
Johnson
Swisher
Ellis

This is pretty much the standard A's lineup against lefties, with the occasional swapping of DJ and Hatteberg and Ellis, Scutaro and Ginter.

The Jays counter with this group:

Adams
Catalanotto
Wells
Hillenbrand
Hill
Zaun
Hinske
Rios
Menechino

Hudson isn't well after hurting his hammy when he thought his home run might not get out last night. Instead, the A's face Frankie.

By the way, there is a $450 fine for anyone who showed up at this site before 4 p.m. Pacific today. Seriously though, let's give Macha credit for trying to change things up and not remaining stagnant.

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
