Open Thread: Game 58 - A's at Washington

The A's and Ryan Glynn with an 0-1 record and a 3.86 ERA take on the Nationals and Esteban Loaiza with a 1-4 record and a 3.56 ERA.

Glynn against Loaiza looks like a mismatch on paper. We shall see how it breaks out.

Here is the A's lineup (Macha must be reading AN at night):

Kendall
Crosby
Kotsay
Chavez
Kielty
Johnson
Swisher
Scutaro
Glynn

Kendall leading off and Kotsay in a place to drive in more runs. I do like it. I also like Crosby in the second spot in the lineup. He's had great, patient at bats since he's returned and I think he'll excel there.

The Nationals counter with this group:

Wilkerson
Church
Guillen
Johnson
Castilla
Baerga
Schneider
Guzman
Loaiza

Will someone please call baggage claim at Dulles and ask if the A's offense has been located yet? We'll have our answer shortly.

By the way, the A's wasted no time in signing their first round draft pick today. I think I'm already a Cliff Pennington fan.

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
