Open Thread: Game 56 - A's vs. Blue Jays

The A's and Danny Haren with a 2-7 record and a 4.34 ERA take on the Blue Jays and Chad Gaudin with a 1-0 record and a 3.60 ERA.

Haren has been pitching remarkably well lately, pitching a complete game last time out to get his second victory.

The A's have some radical lineup changes today. Partially because of Kotsay's back spasms, I imagine, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Scutaro
Crosby
Chavez
Hatteberg
Kielty
Johnson
Byrnes
Swisher
Melhuse

Could any ever even DREAM that Scutaro would ever lead off for the A's last season? It shows how far he's come. Crosby hitting in the two-hole also shows how patient the kid has been thus far.

The Blue Jays counter with this lineup:

Johnson
Catalanotto
Wells
Hillenbrand
Hinske
Zaun
Rios
Hudson
McDonald

Gaudin, pronounced Go-dan like the Godzilla monster Rodan, makes only his second start for the Blue Jays after pitching a few games for the Devils Rays over the last couple of seasons.

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
