Open Thread: Game 69 - A's at Seattle

The A's and Danny Haren with a 4-7 record take on the Mariners and Aaron "Suddenly Rejuvenated" Sele with a 6-5 record and a 3.79 ERA.

Two very hot pitchers go head to head in a pitcher's park. So, we'll probably see a 12-10 game. Sele is 2-1 and has a 2.41 ERA. He's given up only five runs in 18.2 innings.

Haren is 2-0 with a 3.48 ERA in June and has given up only eight runs over 20.2 innings. He's also got a 4:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

The A's go with this lineup tonight:

Kendall
Kotsay
Crosby
Chavez
Hatteberg
Kielty
Johnson
Swisher
Ellis

The Mariners counter with this group:

Suzuki
Winn
Beltre
Sexson
Ibanez
Lopez
Reed
Morse
Borders

Bret "Bat-Flippin'" Boone has apparently been benched for the series. I certainly don't mind not seeing that guy suit up. Frankly, he annoys me to no end.

LET'S GO A'S!!!!!!!
