Barry Zito takes the mound against Hideo Nomo.
The A's are coming off a tough loss last night, so it'll be nice if Zito can get his first win of the year.
The lineup is in and there are some changes:
Kotsay
Kendall
Chavez
Durazo
Hatteberg
Byrnes
Thomas
Ginter
Ellis
Swisher sits out his first game of 2005 after a tough night last night. And Ellis and Ginter both get into the infield, with Ellis starting at shortstop, giving Scutaro the day off.
I like the idea of Byrnes and Thomas hitting together in the lineup because you've got good speed with those two.
The Rays lineup looks like this:
Crawford
Gonzalez
Huff
Lugo
Cantu
Phelps
Perez
Hall
Gathright
Ideally, we get at least seven innings from Z today with the A's ahead so then the A's have Calero for the eighth and Dotel in the ninth.
