Lather, Rinse, Repeat

Someone call The Fonz. He needs to kick the juke box because it's repeating the same verse over and over again.

But the funny thing is that I was listening to the Angels game on the drive down to LA. On the postgame show that followed the Huntington Beach Angels game, the callers were complaining about the same exact thing we are. The lack of hitting with RISP. They called it clutch hitting.

Of course, their argument is full of holes when you consider that the Angels Angels are hitting .273 team-wide with RISP and our boys are hitting just .206, which is last in the majors, tied with the Brewers. But tonight the Angels twice had runners on first and third with no outs and failed to score any runs, which ultimately led to their demise later in the game. Guess all fans have selective memories. Only in our case it is all too painfully real right now.

Since I didn't get to hear or watch the A's game, I can't really comment on tonight's game. Although I imagine it might read like many other games this early season. Great pitching performance by one of the young guns, no offensive support. Lather, rinse, repeat.
