Here's the deal. I called the A's and we have two options...unfortunately, BBQ Terrace isn't one of them because that can only seat a maximum of 70 and I anticipate more than that when you include friends and loved ones in the mix.
But, BBQ Plaza is available. The total cost per ticket for BBQ Plaza is $31 per ticket (I added a dollar for PayPal), but that includes cheeseburgers, hot dogs, sodas and water (no alcohol, that's separate). They feed us basically between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. It then ends at 1 p.m. and they take the food away. But it's all you can eat during those two hours. They also section off an area that specifically designated for us and us alone.
There's a couple of positives and negatives for this.
The positive is that I think it would be much easier for me to get guest appearances for this time frame since we'll be in the stadium. We also don't have to bring our own food, grill and anything else we need. And with the price of ballpark food, you're getting quite a deal. We also get a private area to congregate which is a bonus.
The negatives are as follows:
We need to reserve this within 48 hours after I tell him what we want to do. So, that would mean you would have to PayPal me the money for your tickets very quickly. I'm not sure how many of you would be able to do that this early. The seats for the actual game are pretty bad. They would be in section 248 above the bleachers and under the East Side Club.
The other option is better seats and a tailgate. The A's would actually block off and area of the parking lot for $75 and designate it specifically for us. The seats would run $19 a ticket (again, adding a dollar for the PayPal charge) and we'd have much better seats. Section 107 is where we'd be.
We'd only have to pay a deposit early which would mean that you wouldn't have to come up with the money immediately because I could cover the $220 or so.
But the negatives are:
I'd have a much harder time convincing anyone to come outside to speak to us. We likely wouldn't get the giveaway (an Eck jersey) because we'd be outside breaking things down, etc.
So I need to know as soon as humanly possible which option you'd prefer.
I'm going to do the democratic thing and throw it open to a vote.

Keep in mind the guests are up in the air still and there is no guarantee as to who I can get to show. But I just think it'd be easier to attract more guests with the BBQ Plaza.
What would you prefer to do for AN Day Reloaded?
