Best. Trip. Ever.

Phew. I'm back from Arizona after leaving about 45 hours ago. I'm going to go pass out for about 12-15 hours.

I've got many interviews to transcribe, some great, some could've been better (I'll share more on that later - but it has a lot to do with the fact that there were many TV people around). Scratch my season preview until at least the second week of the season with all the work I have ahead of me just writing recaps and color from everything I saw and heard.

Yes, the A's lost to the Rangers 13-10 and the Cubs 5-2, but the trip wasn't about on-the-field results. Even though my buddy made fun of me because I was pulling for extra innings. He was like, "You actually care whether or not they win this game, don't you?"

Ah, I am a fan and I like wins. Spring training or not.

But in this case I was willing to look at the bigger picture. And the bigger picture is that suddenly, AN is going to be hearing from the players on a fairly regular basis.
