Tim Hudson with a 12-5 record and a 3.33 ERA versus Gil Meche with a 6-6 record and a 5.17 ERA.
Don't let that ERA fool you. Meche has been a tough customer since he was recalled from Triple-A. Anaheim and Oakland battered him around a bit in his last two outings, but prior to that, Meche pitched a complete game shutout against the Red Sox and four runs over seven innings to the Indians. He also went 3-0 with a 3.48 ERA in August.
So the A's aren't dealing with someone who is pitching like a guy with a 5.17 ERA.
Hudson, on the other hand, has been able to piece together a 2-1 record in September despite a 5.45 ERA for the month. Huddy has weebled and wobbled through some starts, but come out on top.
Let's just hope that is the case tonight.
LET'S GO A'S!!!
