Woody Williams with an 11-8 record and a 4.18 ERA versus Tim Wakefield with a 12-10 record and a 4.87 ERA.

OK, my belief is that the Red Sox are the best team in baseball because they seem to be the most balanced. St. Louis has a remarkably scary offense, but the Red Sox have a great offense, great pitching (if Schilling can duct tape that ankle together for a couple more starts) and a decent bullpen.

I think this is the year for the Red Sox. I told my brother that early in the year, when he gave up on them. I told him later in the year when he gave up on them. And I'm saying it here once again. That team has too many good parts.

My best guess? Sox in six, through a lot of offense fireworks.

And then we can finally stop hearing about non-existent curses and self-loathing Red Sox fans can stop the pity pleas. That is if Boston is still standing after they win.
