The one constant throughout my years has been A's baseball. My life has marched by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, (my memories of my hometown of Arcata being replaced with thoughts and feelings from three years of college in Chico), rebuilt, (experiences and friends from my three years in Chico giving way to two years in Olympia, Washington) and erased again. (I'm now living the post-grad twenty-something life in Oakland.) But A's baseball has marked the time. This team, this game, they're a part of my past. They remind me of all that once was good (Eric Fox swatting a three run homer to win a pivotal game against the Twins in 1992. Miggy doing the exact same thing ten years later in 2002) and could be again. (Here's to a world title in 2010 and a De Los Santos Cy Young in 2011.)
