Lived in the East Bay from 1972 to 2003. Moved to Portland in 2004. Watching the A's from afar has been made easier through the likes of AN and an occasional road trip to Safeco Field...Go A's!

Probably more Sweeney Todd, than Sweeney, R., but this was a request for a "visual of the month" from yesterday's gameday thread. Enjoy ladies! ;-)
Next M's Manager?
There is a recent article on fannation.com that speculates on future managers for the Mariners. Of course, the potential new GM would have to be hired first, but if you were the new GM, who would you want? (I didn't included a seventh option, Brad Mills, mainly because I've never heard of him, and six options are plenty).
(PS. I'm a visiting ANer, live in Portland, so I follow the Mariners quite a bit as well, when I'm not rooting for the A's :)

I just happened upon this team photo from LAST YEAR. Check out how many of these guys are long gone. Yeah, I guess you could say we reloaded a tad.
You're not in Oakland anymore, Swish
Apparently Nick Swisher was the instigator of some controversial clubhouse antics. One can't help but wonder if this would have been as "inflated" if it were in Oakland.
Oakland...The New Area 51?
Yes, I know there's already a certain Las Vegas Minor League team with dibs on the name. But with the activation of Esteban Loaiza from the DL, the A's have now used a record 51 players on their roster since the start of the season.
It's great that the A's are playing well, but if you want an additional distraction, I offer this nostalgic look at those 51 players, categorized into CURRENTLY ON ACTIVE ROSTER, CURRENTLY ON DL, CURRENTLY WITH SACRAMENTO and NO LONGER WITH ORGANIZATION. (Let me know if you find any errors...I used Baseball-Reference.com as a resource.
