Cowboys Acquire WR Roy Williams

Welllll, shit. I feel like we could have made this deal.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3643295

Fuck the corporate world. I'm happy w/ our wideouts, but this is more than a damn shame. It means the Cowboys will have an elite WR for the forseeable future. It means we'll need to pull out a TON of nickel/dimes vs. them when they're at full strength, which means that their running game will be picking up a lot of yardage.

Sucks when teams get 2 #1 WRs. It'll be very tough to cover.

Feliz Navidad!

[editor's note, by dajafi] Promoted from the diaries, mostly so I don't have to write anything more about this travesty of a mockery of a sham. Don't expect this to end other than in a blazing firestorm of shitty at-bats and a plethora of outs.

Darwin Walker to Bears

I guess that means we don't have to release him. He was sent to the Bears for a 5th round draft choice, so the Bills end up with a 5th instead of a 6th, making the best of a (really) bad situation.

Why Pat Burrell Is As Good as Soriano and Lee

[Editor's note - bumped from the Diaries.]

Recently I've been hearing a bit (read, a ton) of straight up hatred geared towards our LF, Pat Burrell. Being a statistically-minded fella, I've done my best to persuade these people that Burrell is not only not bad, but is (gasp) actually pretty darn good.

You've all heard the argument. He's got a hell of an ass. And OBP. What?

But in all seriousness, compare and contrast.
