ANtics Episode 3.16: Summer Surge
For some reason, the A's of the last few seasons have always saved their best efforts until after May was over. With that ugly month behind us, the team has surged forward, taking 3 of 4 from the challenging Red Sox and SWEEPING the Giants. It's a story we've seen before...

Great idea.
Or maybe Jack Cust.

I voted for Swisher simply because...
...of a quote from after the Aug. 2005 game against the Angels where Molina (catching) threw a routine ball back to Rodriguez, who watched it dribble out toward 2nd base and Kendall, on 3rd at the time, alertly ran home to score the winning run. The quote was --
"We were all in the dugout yelling, 'Run, Forrest, run!'" outfielder Nick Swisher said.
So I just thought, hey, maybe Swish is a movie-watchin' kinda guy.
But Brandon Buckley is an astute vote, so maybe I'm still onna fence...

Ooh, an even better idea.
Btw, Louis, you've outdone yourself with this week's ANtics. Good stuff, as always.

must concur!
The inclusion of home-schooled spelling bee champ was pure genius, and as always, every panel delivers.
search youtube for that kid's CNN appearance. Swisher ain't lying up there.

Thank you both.
After about 70 of these, I get concerned they'll get stale or repetitive or stale or repetitive.
I'm glad some folks like them as much as I like making them up.

No way, don't ever stop.
I'll let you know if you're losing a step. I just get tired of saying "great job" week after week, but I always think it.

C'mon people
You know Joe always takes candy to the movies, and now that the Milk Dud has gone to Texas, its time for VMC.

Gaudin is the only option here.
Swisher wouldn't shut up the whole movie, Kendall wouldn't want to sit in the same row with you and certainly wouldn't share his candy, Street would attract the under 13 female demographic making it difficult to even get into the theater and Scutaro would only want to watch Spanish subtitled movies (at least they could watch Pan's Labyrinth together). Leaving Chad Gaudin as the only option.

I wish I could change my vote
I said Swisher too, because I remember their rookie hazing costumes,
but I wish I would have voted for Scutaro. Whenever he gets interviewed, he reminds me of Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite. Unless, of course, he's doing his American accent, which he did twice this past weekend on the post-show TV and radio interviews. ("Thanks Guys")
Super Marco
Magic Marco
Senor Clutch
...
just too many good things going on with Scutaro.

Scutaro is the only pick
He's funny and has a funny accent. I loved him after the show.

The "fort" frame...
Hilarious. Reminds me of when I was 6 or 7 and used to trick the family friend's daugher (who is exactly 1 year younger than me, I'll have you know.) into kissing me by telling her that I was a doctor and she might die if I didn't kiss her. Those were the days.

I love your comics
I look forward to each new one although I will miss Melhuse.
