IN UR OUTFIELDZ STOPPIN UR RALLIEZ!!

Remember, you WANT an epidural. Don't be a hero.
Travis Buck
is a demi-gawd!!!!!!!!!
Is there nothing else he will do tonite that doesn't continue to amaze us??
I would like to see a couple of insurance runs.
Please.
for those of us without TV
where does the catch rank on the webgem scale?
It could be #1
by wacchampions on Jul 24, 2007 9:59 PM PDT up reply actions
I would say 8.5 to 9
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 24, 2007 9:59 PM PDT up reply actions
#1 or 2 on web gems.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 24, 2007 10:00 PM PDT up reply actions
not a web gem...
didn't have to dive
by Erik being Erik on Jul 24, 2007 9:59 PM PDT up reply actions
Isn't that what makes a webgem?
Or is that just Byrnes' technique? haha
Depends on who is showing it
Objective sports reporters - Play of the day
ESPN - might get shown after the mutual Jeter-Arod reach-around
350 foot
single.
Sigh.
it would be nice
to have a pinch runner wouldn't it

Ken just mentioned that...
...until Vince reminded him that our current bench consists of Bowen, Cust, and Johnson.
Not exactly Olympic gold medal material.
Ken picked Cust out of the three. Interesting.
geren is waiting for permission
from the real manager...

8 or a 9
not a full extension, but good technique,, closed the web with right hand.
Great fundamentals

God we are good.
At least yesterday and today. Does Piazza erase the curse from losing Milton?
I thought Buck went to 11.
And I thought that comment about pinch running DJ
was a bad idea...
$1.00 dogs
I wish the Angels announcers would choke on one of those hot dogs...."Piazza is wicked strong...", I'm sorry, is this Boston?
Royals' catcher.
It's ESPN
Honestly, we can't expect the poor lads in Bristol to know the name of a guy who's going to be in the Top 3 in the ROY voting.
Can JoKe pinch run? doesn't hurt us much
if something happens to him while running bases
BUCK!
The catch was much better watching the Angels
feed. Physioc was very excited and then... awwww.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 24, 2007 10:02 PM PDT reply actions
especially since he said:
"it's hit in the gap!!"

Geren is unpredictable..
Hud says they don't really understand Geren's managerial style... I don't think Geren does either.
by Erik being Erik on Jul 24, 2007 10:04 PM PDT reply actions
I'd definitely pinch run
DJ or JoeK
Actually I'd think seriously about Street
Come to think of it, Buck's catch
would have been so much better if still had his hair.
Booooooooo!
Umm...
where was the Pizza man running to?
That was truly unfortunate, Mr. Piazza.
We could have used another opportunity to add a run.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 24, 2007 10:05 PM PDT reply actions
I honestly can't tell
if you mean parody or parity.
Well that was lame.
Let's get 3 really quick, really easy outs and have a nice series win. Please.
Okay, I don't want to see any hits or walks.
I don't actually think that was
bad baserunning. If it drops, he scores--it looked good off the bat--and otherwise no way does he score. Ever. (Want to wait around for a hit with RISP?) Oh, Chavy was on deck (with no back).
it was bad baserunning
by Erik being Erik on Jul 24, 2007 10:08 PM PDT up reply actions
Why? Because it didn't work out?
I think it was a pretty smart gamble, actually.
no it was a bad "gamble"
that ball was no where near coming close to dropping... I can see if the LF had to run in and catch it, but he ran sideways.
by Erik being Erik on Jul 24, 2007 10:18 PM PDT up reply actions
Agree to disagree but nice thread change.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 24, 2007 10:08 PM PDT up reply actions
available or not
I'd have Street getting ready just in case
Hell if I was Street I'd be getting ready even if I was told to shut it down
That was Rev Halofan on TV just now
I think...
Joking
There was a shot of an extremely glum-looking guy with Phil Spector who looked as if he lived in his parents' basement in Tustin.

Mike Napoli reminds me of Ross the Intern.
Napoli can't catch up to the fastball
he has been WAY late.
It's all up to Mickey Mouse.

nice.....
only 1 more out until i can breathe again.
Okay....
Buck is being all badass... then I start barfing uncontrollably..
Are the two related?
Yes, Stan.
You are just

Today was a good day.
The Angels lost and the A's won! Plus, Seattle got swept!
YES
Doesn't this feel great? I love it.

A's Win the Pennant! The A's Win the Pennant!
oops, wrong soundbite.
I can't help it but I still hold out hope that we can still make a run for the division. Crazy, I know.
I know!
I love how winning these games makes me feel so much better about the season.
But in all honesty, even if we don't win the division this year, I'm just really happy we are hitting the ball and I see guys SMILING and looking like they're enjoying playing the game. This is great!
Now lets continue this win streak and make things interesting!
man did that feel like a playoff game.
And KICU celebrates
with a showing of Huston's AAAAA Rent-a-Space ad! " Speaking of arm, gotta go get back in the game..."
Street is a horrible actor...
and its not very convincing, saying "of arm, gotta go get back in the game..." when behind you is an empty field, with no players and no fans in the stands, and the only one out there is Clay Wood.
hey, we own the Halos this year...
like we owned the M's last year.
Woof, woof! ;-)
Watch, we'll come back and take the lead over
the Angels and the Mariners and have to fight off the f*cking Rangers. But oh how that series in Sept will feel if that's the case.
you never know,,,
I have been saying it the last few days,,,Mariners all of a sudden suck,, Angels can't hit (like we can lol) and now we have Big Joe going tommorow.
If we do well this weekend,, I don't see Billy doing as much dealing... besides Kielty and Kennedy

Swish in center Barton at 1st,, DJ off the bench.. (DJ, stay on the bench)

KICU
Is my TV farked or does KICU do something bizarre with their transmissions? Seems like every game, the view from CF has very poor color saturation - almost fuzzy-looking. I really notice this when the A's and Gnats are playing, the A's on KICU and the Gnats on FSNBA - the FSN picture is much clearer.
It's past my bedtime so I'll check in tomorrow
Note to self: cancel all afternoon meetings. A's are gonna SWEEP.
Thank you, kapers.

How long is Crosby out for?
Who gets called up to play short? NICE WIN TONIGHT, BITCHES I LOVE when we beat the Halos! Get 'em tomorrow, Kentucky Joe! GO A'S!

Swish is on Best Damn tonight. Check your local
listings because I have no idea where you all live.

Seriously
I love to see them smiling like that at the end of a game.
Who wanted the lolbuck?

Me!
Thanks for the picture
hmm
now I can't decide between "robbin' ur hitz" "endin' ur ralliez" or "stoppin' ur ralliez" maybe I'll do the hits one because it will work for more games than the rally ones.
Why is Kotsay in the line-up?
Where is the meritocracy? What the F? He is the worst offensive OF on the team, by far. He is still dining off of his pre-2006 defense too - he's just not that valuable in the field right now to justify the start. He sucks and should be sitting. Stew Buck Swish Cust and Piazza need to be FULL TIME. Period, end of sentence. The other pieces can fall where they may, but this can't change. That means Dan Johnson sits too until Piazza can spell Don Ho junior behind the plate.

Am I a bad person?
For seeing Crosby go down and immediately thinking "I hope he is not hurt...bady...but a little would not be the worst thing..."
