ANtics Episode 3.15: Breaking the 2 Hour Barrier
On Saturday night, Joe Blanton beat out the Twins' Carlos Silva in a one-hour, 49 minute shutout, making the crowd of 30,000 at the game wait for more than an hour before the promised post-dusk fireworks. While the game's duration was quite short, it doesn't match other short-lived items we've seen this season...

Just one hour and 48?
Good thing you got the Saag's sausage before the garlic fries!

Joe's Earlier Loss To The Mariners
took two minutes less (1:47). I've already sent Joe's winning (against Silva) and losing (against Washburn) double complete games in the two shortest games of the major league season so far to Jayson Stark, who collects and publishes such things at espn.com.

Less than 5 hours is a miracle
That was amazing since our games are usually epic battles that keep me here in Eastern time up until 2am. Hope Danny throws a gem tonight so I can be out by 1.
