ANtics Episode 2.6: 2006 Player Predictions

It's prediction season for the baseball media, and many are predicting the A's to win it all this year, while Bobby Crosby and Eric Chavez have been named as MVP candidates, and Harden for the Cy Young. But what about the players themselves? In the latest in the series of comics that has drawn copycats from other baseball clubs... the ANtics ask the players for their expectations. Just what do they see developing in the upcoming year for them and their team?

I'm usually not that big a fan of ANtics, but this one has to be my favorite so far. Totally awesome. Sweet. Dude.

Stomper as Assistant GM?
Disaster. His fingers are too fat for his laptop. :)
If you're too young to grow whiskers of fear, a 96 mph fastball will do just fine.

He can hire me to type stuff for him. ;)
I heart Stomper... and the ANtics.  :D

Laptop?
What makes you think that Stomper doesn't have a special laptop modified for the fat fingers?

and
he should take over chair throwing duties from billy.  He could multitask by typing on his modified laptop and chucking a chair with his trunk.  Think of the efficiency!

First Panel
I'm having a hard time telling which player is in the first panel, is that Blanton?  And is he painting the 3rd deck tarp-thing?

Fantastic as always.  Stomper as AGM is a hilarious thought!

That's no player - and no Cupcakes
It's just a random guy assigned to working on the third deck. He was used to represent how the stadium was ready for Opening Day. Are you ready for Opening Day and will the rain stop!?

Aaaahhh
That would explain why I couldn't place the guy ;-)
I've made it through April (mostly thanks to college basketball), but now that Opening Day is finally here, I CAN'T WAIT!  (Rain, rain go away!)
