Ticket Swap! - The Official Unofficial Playoff Ticket Thread
There are two (Hopefully just one ::Wink Wink:::) A's homegames in the ALDS approaching, there are many A's fans out there with out tickets, and many A's fans out there with extras.
So if you have those Extras, or have tickets and you can't make it (our deepest regards), unlike some people, we here wish you do not resort to scalping.
So list those tickets here, the number, seat, row and section (and anything special about it, like First Row or Isle, etc), and the price of the ticket, and I am sure that happy AN'ers will come to you ready to re-emburse you for your tickets.

Nice seating diagram

On that page you linked to is this quote:
If they're going to say "60 years or better" shouldn't they be required to say "children 14 and worse"?

I have one for Friday -- maybe more
It's possible that I also will have a pair a couple of sections over, in Sec 237, row 5. I won't know until later today though.
$24 each includes the service fee. I can meet you in Berkeley/Albany in the morning or at the park.
If we play Saturday -- which I don't think we will, of course! -- I might have the single in 235 available for that one too. (It's a postseason strip.)
That seat is directly behind Duke:

It's his
I'll post again about the possible pair of tickets once I know what my bosses' friends' plans are. (Buying tickets for your boss is an excellent way to be sure of getting off work to go to the game, by the way....)

2 great Friday tickets available!!
Silly wealthy Peninsulan.
scalping?
I'M KIDDING!
And I'm a native Peninsulan, so I also know first-hand that we're unfortunately not all wealthy... that was also a joke...
Sorry for the confusion... :)
OK
alcs
I'll buy them!
I love how this thread is taking a chunk:

well, not really
Anyone can feel good about walking up to the box office and buying section 233 row 31 and then re-selling that single ticket for exactly what they paid, because that's all they paid. For infield seats, it's way, way, different.

Friday 10/6 game 3
I have one single ticket for the Friday game, Section 222, row 7. My friend can't get out of work to go to the game. Face value is $45.
It's in between 3rd and home plate, and the people walking back and forth in front of you are out of view. (The people in rows 1-5 have that obstruction issue, but not rows 6 and higher.)
I live in downtown Oakland, and can bring the ticket to you if you live nearby; you can come pick it up from me; or, we can meet before the game etc.
No Twins fans though! (As if they'd be reading AN.)

I'm in that section too!
Zonis!
However, just like the A's, I'm going to force people to buy more tickets than they want. So, if you want to sit in the fourth row above the dugout on either Friday or Saturday, they are yours for $55 each. However, you must also purchase (in cash, in advance) One weekday game for 2007 for the Tigers, Twins, Blue Jays, Devil Rays, Royals, Rangers, Mariners, Orioles, Indians, and one random NL team.
For three tickets at $34 each, that's $1,020 plus the $165 for the playoff tickets, bringing your total to a mere $1,185 (or you can just pay $450 for the playoff tickets and save yourself a lot of time and money).
THIS IS A STEAL!!! The A's make you spend way more than this to have these seats. But alas, people still won't get this point......

Post game celebration?
the parking lot is open
I'm BARTing but will gladly stop by any pre-game gathering to whoop it up!
One more point to make, Zonis
Devo was bright enough to word my point much, much better than I did or could. I provide it for you here:
"The buyer may perceive Greg to be making a killing off of him (since I doubt many women would be that dumb) but, if so, they are just displaying their ignorance. They aren't paying $150 for entrance to the stadium. They're paying $35 (or whatever it is) for entrance to the stadium and $115 for the premium of having much, much better seats than they could have secured at that late date from any other outlet. Greg is providing a service to that customer and one that they apparently think is pretty valuable. If they don't think so, they have two options; 1.) sit in more readily available seats in the future; or 2.) buy season tickets and renew them for the next dozen years or so until they have been able to move up to the premium level of seating that Greg has at a cost that will probably approach six figures by the time it's up. If you ask me, they're getting a bargain."
Thanks, Devo.

Wait...
???
I should proofread.
POPPY!!!
Game 3 is Friday...
I'm assuming it'll be the Yanks...
Okay...
Friday (10/13) would be the one that my other buyer has already spoken for (that would be "home game #1").
Saturday 10/14 I would only want to sell if we knew there would be an ALCS Game 5 (I could therefore go to game 5 and sell game 4).
And if it's the Tigers, I have no idea of anything. I really should have kept my mouth shut until I knew the schedule... at least we know what the WS schedule would be, since we already know we'd have home field for THAT series. ALCS last-minute uncertainty is pissing me off...
Ok.....
My season ticket buddy
My poor friend blames (and thanks) me for this addiction (rabid A's fandom)!!
I like you OaklandSi b/c you post on Marty's site

Are the scalpers usually out near the entrance to the coliseum a few innings into the game? Maybe trying to cut their losses?

I can't believe
I plan on saying a little prayer to the baseball gods before going to bed tonight.
I'd much rather watch highlights of game 3 Saturday afternoon.. <fingers crossed>
does anyone have a pair for tomorrow
by jalvarez on Oct 5, 2006 4:08 PM PDT reply actions
I might have two for tomorrow
Preference would be someone in the South Bay, because at this late time, it would be the easiest way to make an exchange.
Last minute ticket!
A's playoff ticket (1) available -- TODAY 1 p.m. (Friday) Sec. 201
I have one extra ticket to today's playoff game against the Twins. The ticket is for Sec. 201 and the value of the ticket is $34. Give me a reply email or a call if you want to meet me promptly before the game, get the ticket, and watch the A's mob the field when they sweep the series. (Twins fans need not apply.) My work number is (415) 343-0771, email to spoletomio@yahoo.com.
GO A's!
