Why do you post here?
I know the answer for everyone; you're seeking attention, that's what you're doing. Anyone who posts a diary or a comment does so because they are seeking attention. In fact, even if you told me that it was for some other reason then I'd have to call "bullshit!"
That being asserted and irrefutable, in my judgment - a judgment that has been questioned given my loony player-trade ideas - I'm seeking the other predominate reason that you post in the forum. I know that it could be some combination of the choices but please limit yourself to your other main reason for getting your thoughts out there.

I like weirdos
I like chatting with a number of the regulars. I think that's sort of different from wanting attention. I like the idea that as a relative old-timer I can welcome in shy newcomers. I like the Link Dump because it's sort of the anti-attention diary; it's a pot luck not a chef's masterpiece.
The main attention-calling thing I've done is the Diego series. But even that isn't mere begging for attention. Anyone who's had to write, sing or otherwise perform knows that you can create all you want for yourself, but you go to a totally different level when you have any kind of audience. Presenting something to an audience makes you suddenly more sensitive to what stinks and what's good about your stuff. So Diego has been fun to make and fun to share and it's fun to be creative in that 'audience zone'. Fun fun fun till my daddy took my t-ball away...
