ANtics - Episode VIII: Ken Macha, Kung Fu Master!

It may be the first official week of the NFL, but not all the big hitting can be seen on the gridiron. Ken Macha, predominantly seen as a calm fellow, was captured on ESPN television this week delivering a martial art kick to a clubhouse door, freeing pitcher Joe Blanton, who somehow had managed to become stuck inside. "It was either that or call 911 and have the fire department come across center field," Macha reportedly said.

Macha's fearsome nature and martial art mastery, though a mystery to us, has gained him quite the reputation, both on the A's, and around the league - some of which can be seen in this week's ANtics!

Imagine?
I thought this really happened! Are you trying to tell me the ANtics aren't 100% factual?

by louismg on Sep 11, 2005 6:32 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hey, if it was 100% factual...
...it wouldn't be 100% funny!

Although, truth can be stranger than fiction...

Another Macha hidden talent
Macha hunts wild turkey in the offseason, so he has turkey call. If there is a Shaolin Baseball film, Mach should get the lead role.

Moe Howard move
He was watching Three Stooges that day. Macha is working the Moe eye poke to perhaps improve the poor vision umpires have, especially when a close play at first base happens, and as usual the screw us.
